Invitation or not, Tova Phillips wanted to be at his parents' wedding reception. He didn't quite make it, though. By the time he arrived on Saturday, the wedding party had moved to Flower Hospital in Sylvania, where his mother gave birth to the precocious party-crasher. "I don't think anybody expected it," Jamie Phillips said as she held her tiny son in her arms yesterday, her wedding veil still lying next to the sink in her hospital room. "It was a running joke, but when it actually happened everybody was like, 'You've got to be kidding!'"

There was not a dry eye in the lawn and garden section of the Silsbee Walmart on Monday night. For Connie, a sales associate at the Silsbee Walmart for 13 years, she could think of no better place to wed the love of her life than amid the bargains of her favorite big box retailer. "I just love Walmart," Connie said. "And hey, they already had all the flowers." Monday night, as a dozen of Day's friends, family and fellow Walmart associates looked on, Connie and David Day wed in a brief ceremony in the aisle between the Miracle...

Bride doused by sister-in-law with black spray paint
Posted by admin / Under Wedding Coaches
It was supposed to be a quick bathroom break at the local Tim Hortons before the bride-to-be walked down the aisle. But Nancy Rose knew her big day was about to turn ugly when she spotted an enraged woman in a tube top racing toward her, a can of spray-paint in her hand. As members of the wedding party watched in disbelief, her sister-in-law began dousing the young bride with black paint, soiling her beaded gown and veil with sooty stains. I was blown away I think I went into shock for a few minutes, Ms. Rose, who didn't...

Carole Bigwood sewed the white wedding dress, baked the wedding cake, and beamed as her little baby girl walked down the aisle to meet her tuxedoed groom as "Here Comes the Bride" strained through the speakers. So what made this wedding different from your average nuptials? It was her two dogs getting hitched  all in the name of fun! Dog nuptials  as silly as they might seem  are growing in popularity, as owners look for ways to create lasting memories with the animals they consider part of the family. "People do these events because theyÂre joyful," pet...

In India, New Seat of Power for Women
Posted by admin / Under Wedding Coaches
An ideal groom in this dusty farming village is a vegetarian, does not drink, has good prospects for a stable job and promises his bride-to-be an amenity in high demand: a toilet. In rural India, many young women are refusing to marry unless the suitor furnishes their future home with a bathroom, freeing them from the inconvenience and embarrassment of using community toilets or squatting in fields. About 665 million people in India -- about half the population -- lack access to latrines. But since a "No Toilet, No Bride" campaign started about two years ago, 1.4 million toilets have...
